We're now at Gargett about 60km west of Mackay

Hi everyone I'm back to tell you some more information about my trip.

We had a lunch break at Clairview on the beach.  I found a coconut which had fallen from a coconut tree and soon I will be able to eat it when we take the husk off the outside.  I tried to climb the coconut tree but it was a failed mission.  I saw more big freight trains near the beach.  I could also see lots of small deserted islands off the coast.

After leaving Clairview we drove to a campsite at Notch Point which was 11km east of Ilbilbie and on the Marion Creek.  It was a bit scary there because there was a sign warning there was crocodile and there was crocodile footprints in the mud.  There were heaps of mud crabs all around.  I also got bitten by midges luckily not eaten by crocodiles!

We rode our motor scooters to Green Hill Beach and we skidded around in the sand.  It was great fun!

The next  morning we left and drove north to Mackay where we turned west and headed to Gargett to set up camp at the Gargett Rodeo Grounds.  It is really quiet town and quite deserted.  I did see a empty sugarcane train go by.  I also found Kermit the frog in the men's toilet.  He was really cool!

Yesterday we rode our motor scooters further west to Finch Hatton Gorge.  At the national park I was lucky and excited to go on a fast flying experience on a flying fox through the forest valley.  When I was going fast down the wire I stopped going and I didn't know what to do until the man told me what to do.  There was hundreds of flying foxes screeching everywhere around me.  It was very awesome!

At lunchtime it was really funny because a kookaburra came down and swooped our lunch and took Pop's sandwich straight out of his hand.

After lunch we went on a bushwalk through a winding trail to a waterfall where there were clear water rockpools and people swimming in them.  I was coeeing to some kids and we played tag back to the carpark.  It was the best day ever.

Well it's time to go folks.  Till next time
Arrivederci
